I have been creating lots of things lately, most specifically for swaps on craftster, so I figure that I should probably start bloggin about what I am creating. Maybe I can even start up some sort of small following. A boy can dream.

Oh man, how to frame a piece of embroidery!
I’m definitely going to try that for a few pieces that I have been dying to frame and give away!

I need to get my hands on some fabric and let my brain do its thing. I should sell some of these crazy ideas in my head.
But, how do I move the idea for a pattern out of my head and into a handy pdf format? Ah, yes…

I’ve been on an embroidery kick that has included making more than few bags for Zoe. Mostly because I seem to have some unexplainable need to embroider (possibly to keep my fingers from being a bloody mess?), and she’s really easy to make cute things for.
This bag came about because I had yet another medium-sized canvas tote bag and I love the forest friends and I luv veggies pattern sheets.
It’s especially good that I made this bag for Zoe because as I was ironing on the pattern on the veggie side I managed to touch the hot iron to a pen that then rolled onto the bag and left a black smudge next to the tomato.
I’m not too concerned, since Zoe hasn’t noticed. I am, otherwise, rather proud of the bag, as I think it’s rather cute.
I’m fond of the back stitch when it comes to simple embroidery. I think that going overboard with ‘fancy’ stitches can sometimes take away from the simplicity of a design, which is often central to its appeal.
I apologize for the lack of formatting, I am really just learning how to use wordpress, and I’m still playing around with the formatting tools.
Is it really possible that I’m this lazy?

It is! Now that I can post directly from my phone you can expect lots of postings on a regular basis. I promise!
This is my most recent creation. I used patterns from sublime stitching’s anatomy patterns. I am in love with these patterns.

Hey there.
So, the point of this blog is for me to actually show off the things that I make. I’ve spent some time on craftster, and it’s a rad site; but, really not the sort of thing that I am likely to jump into. It’s full of awesome people (mostly ladies) but I am not much of message board poster, this blog thing is much more my style.
As a trans guy, I seem to be expected to be hyper masculine, which is really a shame because I identify this way because I don’t fit into the gender box that was assigned to me at birth. That said, I really enjoy being creative and finding ways to create with my own hands. I refuse to let my gender identity dictate what I’m allowed to enjoy doing.
So, here I am. I’m hopeful that I’ll get some viewers, cause I am vain that way and I’d love to get some feedback on what I’m creating.
Namaste.
Max.
